What we do
We offer help and support to those who, like us, have lost loved-ones abroad. Our organisation’s purposes are “the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage through / by":-
- To become a support group for families, partners and friends of Scottish citizens dying abroad whereby the death is from natural circumstances, accidental death, suspicious circumstances or murder.
- To become an action group, working for change within Scotland & the rest of UK to improve the support families receive after a loved one dies abroad.
- To provide feedback to the many Government agencies involved after a death abroad, so that they may improve the services they offer and reduce the distress they cause to bereaved families.
- To assist families in financial hardship by fundraising and appeals. This can be for repatriation costs, court costs, lawyers fees, flights to the country of death and translation of documents.
